- Ansu Fati scored double in Barcelona's win over Levante
- The 17-year-old became the youngest star after former Malaga player Juanmi to achieve the feat
- Barca moved three points close to table-toppers Real Madrid after the match
Barcelona forward Ansu Fati became the youngest player to score a brace in the history of the Spanish League.
The 17-year-old scored two quick goals in the 30th and 32nd minutes to inspire the Catalans to victory over stubborn Levante. Lionel Messi provided the assists for the goals.
Ruben Rochina's late strike from range in the extra minutes was not enough to rescue them from outright defeat at the end of the meeting.
His double over the weekend increased his La Liga tally to four after 13 appearances with an assist to his credit.
In the absence of Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele, the youngster completed the three-man attack alongside Antoine Griezmann and Messi.
He however combined well with his captain to find the back of the net twice as they moved three points close to their arch-rivals Real Madrid.
Former Malaga star Juanmi was the last player to achieve the feat over a decade ago at the age of 17 years and 115 days - as against Fati who achieved the same feat after 17 years and 94 days.
Meanwhile, his brace over the weekend was his first league goal since September 14 against Valencia.
Former Barca star Bojan Krkic was another youngster to achieve same feat but after 17 years and 208 days old. He scored double against Valladolid in 2008.
