Kano Governor Abba Yusuf Speaks About 2027 Election, "Never in The Hands of Man"

2027: Kano gov not worried
As reported by The Cable, in a statement issued on Wednesday, September 10, by Sanusi Tofa, the media aide to Yusuf, the governor said he faced the toughest challenges of his life after the 2023 elections, "but through those challenges and tears, I remain committed to the service of Kano."
The statement reads:
“I am still here because of God, not because of any individual.
"Leadership is never in the hands of man. God installs and removes leaders as He wishes.
“Whether I seek re-election or not, my duty is to keep delivering meaningful programmes that will benefit the electorate.
“I know that one day I will vacate this seat. That is why I am doing my best now to transform Kano physically, socially, and morally."
Profile of Abba Yusuf
Yusuf served as governor of Kano state since May 2023. He served as commissioner for works, housing and transport in the Kano state executive council from 2011 to 2015, during the administration of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
Previously, he worked with the Kano State Water Resources Engineering and Construction Agency (WRECA).
Late former President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua, appointed him as the chairman, Governing Board of the National Institute for Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA), Ondo State where he served between 2009 and 2011.

In 2022, Yusuf moved from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), where he was again endorsed by Kwankwaso to challenge Nasir Yusuf Gawuna in the 2023 elections. He was declared winner on March 20, 2023, and received his certificate of return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Hoodlums kill Kano governor's aide
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that a senior special reporter to Governor Yusuf at the ministry of history and culture, Sadiq Gentle, died from injuries sustained during a violent attack by suspected hoodlums.
Gentle passed away at the Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital, days after the gruesome machete attack at his residence.
Governor Yusuf directed security agencies to swing into action and fish out the perpetrators.
