Tinubu’s frequent France trips
Legit.ng reports that since his inauguration, the president has undertaken at least 25 international trips. However, there have been reports indicating that some of the trips were undertaken for medical reasons.
Criticisms often trail Tinubu’s trip to France since, with citizens condemning the government for failing to develop the country’s health system, while its officials embark on international trips for medical care.
Aside from France, he has also embarked on several other foreign trips. Some of them have been for official engagements such as international summits, high-level diplomatic meetings, and multilateral conferences.
Sunday Dare, President Tinubu’s special adviser on public communication and orientation, previously told the press that some of the president’s trips were international engagements already scheduled on the global calendar.
He also noted that some of the trips aimed to ensure that the president interacted and built relationships with other leaders.
Fresh report on Tinubu’s health
According to the ICIR in its new report, the president has reportedly been bedridden for several days in Abuja, resulting in his absence from key state functions.
The media platform said its investigations revealed that several high-level meetings were quietly shelved. Among them was a scheduled engagement with close associates of late former President Muhammadu Buhari within the All Progressives Congress (APC), originally set for the afternoon of Tuesday, August 5. The meeting was abruptly cancelled.
But on Sunday night, August 10, Daily Trust said it contacted presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga who dismissed the rumour of the president’s illness.
On why the president did not attend any public function lately, Onanuga replied that the president could choose to work from home.
Onanuga said:
“There is nothing wrong with the president, he is okay. He can choose to work from home. He can choose to work from anywhere. I tell you nothing is wrong with the president."
Tinubu tipped to win 2027 election
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Pastor Emmanuel Ezeasor said the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and Tinubu "will do everything possible" to emerge victorious in the 2027 election.
Pastor Ezeasor, in a video shared recently on his known YouTube page, declared that 'the people who are currently in power will win'.
Pastor Ezeasor asked people to "pray for Nigeria" because the country "needs the most amount of prayers in this season that we are going into".
