Corps Member Posted to Same State and LGA His Mum Served in 15 Years Ago Rocks NYSC Uniform With Her

  • A corps member who recently had his passing out parade (POP) has celebrated his service year by releasing a heartwarming NYSC photoshoot taken with his mother
  • Speaking on the possible inspiration behind the NYSC photoshoot, the young man revealed that he was not only deployed to the same state where his mum served in years ago, but the same LGA she was redeployed to
  • He emphasised the significance of serving in the same place as his mother, stressing that it could not have been a coincidence

An ex-corps member, identified as Agbinni Endurance Oghenerukevwe, who recently completed his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program, has posted his service year photoshoot he took with his mother, in which they both wore the NYSC uniforms like corps members.

"Two generations, same uniform, same purpose," Endurance captioned his NYSC photoshoot with his mother.

Mother and son did NYSC in same LGA

In a TikTok post on March 31, Endurance disclosed that his mother was posted to Abia state for her NYSC 15 years ago, where she spent three weeks in the orientation camp before redeploying to Lagos.

Coincidentally, Endurance was also deployed to Abia state for his service, and he also redeployed to Lagos after completing his three weeks in camp.

Interestingly, the LGA in Lagos that he was posted to happened to be the same place his mother was assigned to in 2010.

Reflecting on the similarity of their service years, Endurance dismissed that it could have been a coincidence. He wrote:

"Like Mother, Like Son ❤️🎉.
"In 2010, my mum was posted to Abia State for her service. After spending 3 weeks in camp, she redeployed to Lagos and was assigned to an LGA. In 2025, I was posted to Abia State for my service. After spending 3 weeks in camp, I redeployed to Lagos… and got assigned to the exact same LGA my mom was assigned to in 2010. 15 years apart. Same journey. Same destination.
"This can’t just be coincidence. Some stories are written long before we understand them. Honored to share this uniform and this special moment with her."
