An X user, @TheGreyHunter, has shared a 10-second clip that the late ARISE News anchor Somtochukwu Christelle Maduagwu recorded at her workstation hours before she died.

The 29-year-old, also a barrister, lost her life after her residence in Abuja was robbed in the early hours of Monday, September 29.

Taking to X, @TheGreyHunter expressed deep sadness for her loss, lamenting that she was alive hours before the unfortunate incident and even sent snaps from her workstation.

He prayed that it would never be well with anyone involved or responsible for Somtochukwu's death. He wrote:

"This is so such a tragic loss, few hours ago she was with us and still sent snaps from her work station.
"My heart aches. May it never be well with anyone who had a hand in your untimely end, Sommie."

In the 10-second clip, Somtochukwu played with her hair while an ad played in the ARISE TV station area where she was.

"I know almost all the ads word for word," words layered on her clip read, and she demonstrated it by saying an ad word from a playing advert.

It is unclear what kind of relationship he had with the deceased.

How ARISE News anchor died

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported how ARISE News anchor Somtochukwu Maduagwu passed away on Monday, September 29.

According to her colleagues, Maduagwu was taken to Maitama General Hospital after an incident involving armed robbers who reportedly stormed her residential area in large numbers.

Reuben Abati, also on the Morning Show, called for a full investigation into the hospital’s conduct, stating that the facility should be probed and punished if found culpable. He expressed condolences to Maduagwu’s family and the Arise News team, describing the situation as deeply troubling.
