Ahead of the cookoff, the seasoning cubes, tomato paste, and spices for the jollof rice were transported to the venue.

Popular food brand Gino, which is partnering with Hilda Baci for the event, showed the cartons of spices and ingredients that would be used for the cook-off.

In a post by @ginonaija on TikTok, a van filled with the ingredients was being offloaded at the venue.

The video was captioned:

Hilda Baci earlier announced that the event, which was earlier scheduled to be held at Muri Okunola Park, would now be held at Eko Hotel and Suites.
