According to reports, the man’s absence from work was due to his death, but his employers, not knowing this, assumed negligence and sanctioned him with a suspension.

The development was made public by the deceased’s friend, identified as @Bigwavee00 on X (formerly Twitter), who narrated the incident.

He revealed that his friend had died the week before, on a Sunday, but the company was unaware of his passing. Believing he deliberately stayed away from work, they issued him a suspension letter.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported the death of a Nigerian doctor who collapsed after working long hours without rest. The young doctor was reportedly denied the opportunity to take a break by his employers and worked nonstop for about 72 hours.
