Some house seekers have cried out on social media for help after being defrauded of their hard-earned money by a self acclaimed agent.
The agent reportedly took money from over 100 people who wanted to secure a house in the Surulere area of Lagos.
However, days after paying off their rents to the agent, they found out that there are several others who paid for the same apartment.
They have now called for government intervention to recover their monies as some of them claimed that they used up all their savings in renting the house.

The victims who spoke during an interview with Punch, narrated how they paid different sums of money and ended up with no apartment.

Nigerian man dupes foreigner of N30m for company jazz
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that a South Korean national identified as Keun Sig Kim has fallen victim of fraud that has resulted in the loss of N30 million.
According to reports, Kim, unknowingly paid a Nigerian herbalist the huge sum for the purchase of gorilla liver, lion skull, elephant skin and intestine.
The herbalist identified as Jamiu Isiaka allegedly impersonated the GMD of NNPC and SA to president on media and publicity, promising to grant Keun NNPC license to purchase a company.
