Firm Launches On-Demand Ride Service in Lagos for Executives

  • Primelane launched in Lagos on Wednesday as the city's first premium on-demand ride service targeting executives, expatriates, and frequent flyers
  • Every Primelane driver is background-checked and trained to chauffeur standard, and every vehicle on the platform is 2014 or newer
  • The company also launched a corporate transport offering alongside its consumer service, with hotel and concierge partnerships as a second priority channel

A new premium ride service called Primelane went live in Lagos on Wednesday, positioning itself as the city's first on-demand transport option built around consistent service quality rather than low fares.

The service covers Lagos in full, including pickups and drop-offs at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, the main business districts on the island, and routes connecting the island to the mainland.

A Different Standard for Lagos Transport

Primelane's approach sets it apart from the volume-driven ride-hailing platforms that currently dominate the Lagos market. Every driver undergoes vetting, a background check, and chauffeur-level training before taking a booking. All vehicles on the platform are 2014 models or newer and are kept in a condition that meets the company's service standards.

The service is aimed at Lagos's professional class: executives, frequent flyers, expatriates, and international business visitors who treat reliability and presentation as professional requirements rather than optional extras.

"Lagos has built industries, careers, and ambitions that stand alongside anything in the world," a Primelane spokesperson said. "The one area that has not kept pace is how the people driving all of that actually move through the city. That is what Primelane is here to address."

The company's launch comes as demand from multinational corporations, international visitors, and a growing domestic professional class continues to rise, in a market where existing options have fallen short. Ride-hailing platforms built around scale and price have achieved widespread use but delivered an uneven rider experience. Executive hire services operating outside the app economy have partially filled the gap, but without the on-demand availability or operational consistency that today's professional market expects.

Corporate and Hotel Channels at Launch

Primelane is also rolling out a corporate solution alongside its consumer service, giving organisations a flexible, trackable transport arrangement for senior staff that meets the standard those companies want associated with how their people travel.

Hotel and concierge partnerships form a second key channel at launch, targeting international visitors whose level of accommodation has, until now, had no equivalent in how they move around the city.

The company's tagline, "Don't just go. Arrive.", captures the argument it plans to make consistently: that transport at this level is a professional matter, not merely a logistical one.
