"As you can see, we have over four thousand volunteers - those that have volunteered to work under our campaign organization at the various levels. They've volunteered to make personal sacrifices - donating their time, energy and expertise for Anambra State to be liberated from the shackles of maladministration," he said.
"APC has message of renewed hope and fresh breath for Anambra people. We have a governorahip candidate in the person of Prince (Dr) Nicholas Ukachukwu, who is an experienced administrator - who is a former member of the House of Representatives, and a former chairman of Anuja Municipal Area Council. He has a very robust manifesto that will restore hope, and bring fresh air for the people of the state.
"We have a deputy governorahip candidate in the person of Senator Uche Ekwunife, who is a two time member of the House of Representatives, and a two time Senator, who is also well experienced in administration and governance. So, our first eleven is intact, and come November 8, 2025, by the grace of God, APC is going to take Anambra State by storm.

"Before this inauguration, our party has been working assidiously at the wards and polling unit levels. Our plans were to set up formidable structure at the grassroots before coming to the state level. Now that we've inaugurated the campaign organization at the state and zonal levels, we'll subsequently inaugurate the wards and polling unit levels of the campaign council.
"Both our governorahip and deputy governorahip candidates have their investments in Anambra State. This is going to be the first time in history where Anambra State is having a governor and deputy governor who have their investments in the state. Anambra people are excited. They're eagerly waiting to go to the polls come November 8, 2025, to vote out and take away all the smells in the Anambra government house, and restore fresh breath."

"Ours is going to be a robust citizens/government relationship that will restore hope and goodwill," he said.

Deputy director (South) in the campaign council, Chief John Bosco Onunkwo, said that Anambra State is lucky to have Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu and Senator Uche Ekwunife coming to take over the governance of the state.

In an exclusive interview with Legit.ng correspondent, Onunkwo, a former governorahip aspirant under the All Progressive Congress (APC), asked Anambra citizens to have hope as the "APC government is coming to wipe away their tears, and give the people what they need in terms of infrastructure, security, education and other amenities."

"Our people have been suffering under the shackles of bondage - bondage of insecurity - bondage of poor infrastructure, bad governance, etc. But today, we're telling our people to have hope."

Ukachukwu pledges security and rapid growth

Earlier in his speech, governorship campaign of the APC, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, said that wining the Anambra governorahip election is possible for his party. He said that by the grace of God, when his government takes over in Anambra, efficient security system will be restored within his first 100 days in office. Ukachukwu, a real estate mogul and business man, who said that Anambra presently ranks 33rd out of the 36 states in Nigeria and the federal capital territory, in the area of infrastructure and development, said that upon assumption of office as governor, his government will fastrack development, and bring the state among the first five in the country, in terms of infrastructural development.

Speaking on the recent scandal that he was embarrassed in a hotel in Abuja over alleged one billion naira debt, the APC candidate dismissed the issue as mere handiwork of opposition elements and enemies, whose mission was to drag his name to the mud.

He said:

"The scandal was laughable. It was stagemanaged by enemies. How could Nicholas Ukachukwu, who is a billionaire in dollars, be owing mere one billion naira and cannot pay the debt? Ask them to bring every document relating to the said transaction; if you see my name in the documents as director or in whatever capacity, then, note that I am a liar, and not worthy of being your governor."

He also berated Soludo for making him and his deputy governorahip candidate, Uche Ekwunife, subjects of his discussions in public fora; saying that as a person, he has no time to discuss anybody.

"Soludo is too small for me to discuss. This is somebody that before he became governor, he used to bow down and greet me with his two hands. I have many people like him that I pay salaries every month. Why should Soludo attack people who have investments both in Anambra State and beyond, but he has not single kiosk where he produces toothpick?"

Earlier, while inaugurating the campaign council, the national vice chairman of APC, Southeast, Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu, assured that the party will take over Anambra State come November 8.

"Anambra state is very dear to APC."
