Dufil Prima Foods Engages Research Agencies to Deepen Nationwide Search for Indomie Heroes
Dufil Prima Foods, makers of Nigeria’s leading instant noodles brand, Indomie, has commissioned two independent research agencies to intensify the search for young Nigerian heroes as part of the 17th edition of the Indomie Heroes Awards (IHA). The move marks a significant step in the brand’s mission to uncover and celebrate acts of extraordinary bravery—physical, social, or intellectual by children aged 15 and under. The agencies are Brand Surveys and Banahgrace Nigeria Ltd.

Following the recent nationwide call for entries, the engagement of these research teams will support grassroots, Pan-Nigeria search for authentic, verifiable stories of heroism. Researchers will work across key cities in all six geopolitical zones to identify children whose actions reflect courage, resilience, and positive impact in their communities.
“The research teams have been commissioned to find potential awardees based on documented acts of bravery,” said Temitope Ashiwaju, General Manager, Corporate Communications and Events, Dufil Prima Foods.
“Every story will go through a rigorous validation process involving interviews, local authority confirmations, and, where possible, supporting evidence such as photographs, school records, or witness accounts. Parental or guardian consent is also a critical requirement.”
This comprehensive research marks the first phase of a three-part selection process that began with digital outreach and community engagement efforts. Shortlisted stories will then be brought to life through re-enactments and mini-documentaries, ahead of the final selection by a distinguished panel of judges.
Themed "Unsung Heroes," the 2025 edition aims to spotlight inspiring, yet often overlooked, stories of young Nigerians—from daring physical feats to bold social action and intellectual achievements.
The journey will culminate in a grand awards ceremony scheduled for October 2025 in Lagos, where the most outstanding young heroes will be honoured. Since its inception, the Indomie Heroes Awards has celebrated 59 exceptional children, awarded millions in scholarships, and amplified the voices of Nigeria’s next generation of changemakers.
Dufil Prima Foods encourages parents, teachers, community leaders, and guardians nationwide to submit nominations and ensure no story of heroism goes unheard. As Ashiwaju notes:
“Every child has a story. Sometimes, all it takes is one voice to bring it to light.”
