Lekki Toll Gate: Truth Needs no Defence, DJ Switch Finally Reacts to Judicial Panel’s Report

Obianuju Catherine Udeh popularly known as DJ Switch has reacted to the report submitted by the Lagos State Judicial Panel of Inquiry on Restitution for Victims of SARS Related Abuses and other matters.

The Nigerian disc jockey, on Monday night, November 15, declared that the truth needs no defence, saying what they desperately tried to hide has now been made public by them, The Punch reports.

Recall that the panel in its 309-page report submitted to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu described the shootings of October 20, 2020, as a massacre.

DJ Switch in a post shared on her social media platform noted that so many lives were shattered, P.M News added.

She wrote:

“Shattered so many lives, tried to destroy mine. Only for what you desperately tried to hide to be made public… by you! The truth needs no defence! #EndSARS.”

The report which confirmed people were killed has vindicated the DJ who rose to fame after she did a live coverage on Instagram showing protesters being shot at by the Nigerian Army.

According to an earlier report by Legit.ng, the minister of information and culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, referred to Obianuju as a run-away DJ.

In his statement on Wednesday, October 20, in Abuja, Mohammed, during a press briefing titled The First Anniversary of The Phantom Massacre at Lekki Toll Gate, stated that claims that there were killings at the venue exactly one year ago are false.

The minister in the speech made available to Legit.ng, dismissed the reports by CNN and DJ Switch as nothing but tales by moonlight.

Meanwhile, the Lagos State Judicial Panel on #EndSARS revealed the names of victims of Lekki Toll gate massacre in Lagos on October 20, 2020.

In the report, titled, ‘Report Of Lekki Incident Investigation Of 20th October 2020’, the panel said at least 48 protesters were either shot dead, injured with bullets wounds or assaulted by soldiers who stormed the Lekki toll gate.
