Taye Currency faced criticism, with many netizens asking why the organisers had not employed the services of Saheed Osupa, another Fuji star.
Should Taye Currency be blamed?
Reacting during an on-air programme, Oriyomi, who recounted how Ladoja’s coronation went, stated that it was an avenue to promote not just Ibadan but the Yoruba culture to the world.
He argued that the organisers of the event, and not Taye Currency, should be blamed.
The media personality stated that at least three artistes should have been invited to perform at an event of such magnitude.
He also criticised the fact that local performers were not invited to display at Oba Ladoja’s coronation.
In related news, Legit.ng reported that Oriyomi Hamzat accused former Anambra governor, Peter Obi, of disrespecting the Yoruba for referring to Oba Rashidi Ladoja as his "brother" in a congratulatory message to the monarch and former Oyo State governor.
