Actress Opeyemi Aiyeola has sent a message of comfort to her colleague, Ibrahim Chatta, who recently lost his son.

Chatta had shared the devastating news over the weekend

Condoling with the veteran actor, Aiyeola encouraged him to stay strong during this trying time.

The actress wrote on Instagram:

“Haaa @ibrahimchatta_lordthespis, my dearest one, may Allah grant his young soul peace and mercy into Al Janah. Take heart and stay strong, brother.May Allah grant you and the entire family all that’s required to bear this painful loss."

Nollywood actors mourn recent family losses

This tragedy comes just days after veteran actress Peju Ogunmola and her husband, Omobolanle Sunday, buried their only child, Ayomikun, in Ibadan.

Similarly, another Yoruba actress, Joke Jigan, had lost her sister, Lizzy. She shared photos of herself and the deceased, questioning why death is everywhere as she contemplated logging off from social media. Mourning her sister, she told her to rest in peace.

Also, veteran actress Joke Silva lost his brother, John Olabiyi Silva. The actress confirmed the heartbreaking news on August 29, 2025, via Instagram, where she posted his picture alongside a tribute.

The back-to-back losses have left Nollywood stars and fans in shock, with many praying for strength for both families.

When asked why he was taking such at his age and he replied and boasted about his tribe in the viral clip.
