Popular online comedian, Mr Macaroni is sharing the current state of his colleague, Cute Abiola who is in Naval detention.

Macaroni earlier announced that the comedian was missing in a post he shared on social media before the Nigerian Navy confirmed that he was in their detention serving punishment.

The comedian has provided new updates, maintaining that he wouldn't like to speak too much on the situation.

Mr Macaroni also revealed that people have been asking him about the current state of Cute Abiola and he doesn't have a lot of information at hand.

"A lot of people have been asking me about Cute Abiola. I don't have much information as only his wife and mother are allowed to see him."

He also said he wouldn't like to speak too much about the situation so his statement will not be misunderstood and he confirmed that the last time he checked, Cute Abiola was still in Naval detention.

Mr Macaroni further pleaded for his colleague's release:

"This isn't a new thing in the military. But as a public figure, Cute Abiola has millions of followers worldwide hence the reason for the consistent concern from the fans and friends. We can only continue to send our best wishes to him."

Legit.ng earlier reported that more details emerged about the 'disappearance' of Cute Abiola who is said to be in the custody of the Nigerian Navy.

The comedian's last WhatsApp chat with a friend made rounds on social media where he gave an insight into his present situation in the hands of his colleagues.

In the chat, the online comedian confided in his friend that he could not talk at the moment because he was on a 'hot seat'.

Nigerians reacted to the chat and most of them called for his release from detention.
