The institution, which recently grew from twelve to nineteen faculties, described the initiative as a celebration of diversity, identity and unity within its scholarly community.

Faculty Colours Reinforce Identity and Pride

According to university officials, each faculty now carries a distinct colour that reflects its values, spirit and contribution to the university’s legacy.

These colours will be incorporated into ceremonial regalia, faculty branding and official events, reinforcing a sense of pride and recognition across campus.

The university stated that the colour assignments were chosen with symbolic relevance in mind, aiming to visually distinguish each faculty while maintaining a cohesive institutional identity.

Official Faculty Colours and Their Codes

The newly unveiled colours and their corresponding faculties are as follows:

Education – Light Yellow (#FFFFCS)

• Engineering – Orange (#FFA500)

• Environmental Sciences – Light Grey (#D3D3D3)

• Health Professions – Bright Red (#FFOO00)

• Law – Sky Blue (#87CEEB)

• Life Sciences – Golden Yellow (#FFDFOO)

• Management Sciences – Lime Green (#32CD32)

• Pharmacy – Purple (#800080)

• Physical & Earth Sciences – Light Taupe (#B9A281)

UNILAG speaks after conducting 2025/2026 screening exercise

Legit.ng earlier reported that the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Akoka, has concluded the 2025/2026 Post-UTME online screening assessment. No fewer than 20,464 candidates participated in the UNILAG Post-UTME online screening exercise from Monday, September 1, to Thursday, 4, 2025.

The federal university said some candidates engaged in various forms of malpractice and would be rendered ineligible for admission. This was contained in a statement issued via the university’s X handle @UnilagNigeria on Friday, September 5, 2025.

UNILAG reiterated its unwavering commitment to safeguarding the integrity of its admissions process. Recall that UNILAG released cut-off marks for 2024/2025 for all programmes. The minimum JAMB score for all UNILAG courses is 200.
