Why is the programme important?

According to a report by MSME Africa, the programme, powered by the Aurora Tech Award by inDrive in partnership with The Nest Innovation Park, continues a wave of global efforts to support young innovators, following recent internship schemes launched by tech giants Google and Apple to nurture the next generation of talent.

Women remain underrepresented in Africa’s startup ecosystem despite driving innovation across fintech, healthtech, edtech, and other sectors. Foundry for HER aims to bridge this gap by providing female founders with the practical knowledge and resources to build scalable ventures.

“This is more than just a bootcamp—it’s a launchpad for women who want to create real impact in their communities,” organisers said.

What do participants stand to gain?

  • The 2025 Online Bootcamp promises:
  • Hands-on training on building, scaling, and sustaining tech-driven businesses.
  • Mentorship from seasoned experts and industry leaders.
  • Investor readiness support, including guidance on pitching and refining business models.
  • Networking opportunities with peers and potential collaborators.
  • A chance to secure the $50,000 non-dilutive grant to take their ventures to the next level.

Like Google and Apple’s recent programmes that give young people access to mentorship and global networks, this bootcamp is structured to ensure women in Nigeria’s tech ecosystem are not left behind.

Eligibility criteria for bootcamp

Applications are open to:

  • Female founders or co-founders of tech-driven businesses.
  • Startups based in Nigeria.
  • Early-stage and growth-stage ventures across sectors.
  • Startups with innovative and scalable solutions that drive positive impact.

  • The bigger picture: Women in tech and global support

The programme comes at a time when the role of women in tech is gaining more visibility. Google’s Student Training in Engineering Program (STEP) and Apple’s Global Internships are equipping young talents with tools to thrive in the digital economy.

Foundry for HER’s bootcamp follows the same spirit, ensuring Nigerian women have a platform to compete globally.

Experts say such initiatives are vital for reducing gender gaps in tech and positioning Africa as a hub for inclusive innovation.

Deadline and application details

By combining training with funding opportunities, Foundry for HER is not only creating pathways for women to succeed but also tackling barriers around access to capital.
