I Need To Tach Our Youths How To Live A Meaningful Life - Desmond Elliot

Well-known and award-winning actor Desmond Elliot has come out and told his fans why he took the decision to go into politics full time.

The recent graduate of Economics from the Lagos State University told NigTribune that the reason he was running for a seat in the Lagos State House of Reps was to help out the common men.

He said: "The current situation is very pathetic. I feel God has helped me thus far and I want to give back through politics that will be favourable to the youths.

"The worst part of our national life is that the level of corruption has not allowed youths to understand what it means to live a meaningful life. Just because of lack of knowledge of what to do, we are being side tracked.

"There are no jobs, and issues like these lead to frustration. A whole lot needs to be done on agriculture, every state in Nigeria needs to see how it can contribute to nation building. There’s a lot that needs to be done.

Desmond Elliot is seasoned actor in the Nigerian movie industry having made his name through the television route and then later going into the film industry.

He is happily married with a large family. The actor has quit entertainment to get into the more demanding job of politics.
