It is important to mention that Boko Haram insurgents have some of their major bases of operation located in the border communities between the two countries. Terrorists are reportedly fleeing to Cameroon and other neighbouring countries after launching attacks in Nigeria.

Almost 3 months have passed since the abduction of more than 250 school girls from Chibok, Borno State, by the sect members. Some experts alleged that the girls might have been split into groups and relocated to Cameroon and Chad.
