Protester Dumps Tons Of Horse Manure In Front Of French Parliament
Paris, France - Today, a government critic in Paris unloaded several tons of horse manure right in front of the National Parliament building. "Out with Hollande and the whole political class," a message read on the side of the truck carrying the load.
The perpetrator was apprehended almost immediately and is expected to face charges. Authorities have started cleaning up the mess.
It is yet unclear what was the motive behind the action.
French President Francois Hollande is already dealing with a scandal over his alleged affair with actress Julie Gayet. Reports of the affair led to the hospitalization of Hollande's long-term girlfriend Valerie Trierweiler.
What is more, Hollande also faces record-low popularity ratings as he battles to breathe life into Europe's second-largest economy.
