Respect National Symbols, NOA Boss Advices Nigerians

Nigerians have been advised to respect and preserve the Naira and other national symbols of the country, which also serves as a sign of unity.

The advice was given yesterday by the director of National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Ekiti state, Mr. Dayo Famosaya, during a road-walk ‎to commemorate the 2015 National Ordinance Day in Ado Ekiti.

The exercise which attracted staff of the NOA in the state as well as volunteers from the 16 local government areas in Ekiti, was organised by the agency.

Speaking at the occasion, Mr Famosaya expressed disappointment in the way some citizens handled the national nlag and the Naira.

He said citizens from other countries shows great respect for theirs, therefore, suggesting a stiffer penalty against violators of rules guiding national identity symbols.

They however use the opportunity to call on the government to do more in sensitizing citizens on the importance of the national flag and enforce the laws guiding the handling of Nigeria currency.
