The former president Goodluck Jonathan and his wife Dame Patience were at the re-election campaign rally of Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa state.
The campaign was held on Tuesday, September 8, at the Samson Siasia sports complex in Yenagoa, the state capital.
The Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike, and many other Bayelsa politicians were also present at the event.
Jonathan had endorsed Dickson’s re-election bid, saying the governor remains the best candidate for the job.
He also called on the people of Bayelsa to support him for a second term.
Dickson, who said the rally marked the official commencement of the campaign, thanked Jonathan for endorsing him for a second term.
About a week ago, reports surfaced that the cold war between Patience Jonathan and Dickson had come to an end. She was said to have directed all her loyalists in the state to work selflessly for his re-election.
