Ezekwesili Reacts To IG's Statement On Nigerian Police

Former minister of education and Bring Back Our Girls frontline campaigner, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, has reacted to the statement made by the Inspector General Of Police, Solomon Arase.

The IGP on Sunday, June 7, said that the Nigerian police has the least corrupt public officials in the country’s institutions.

The former world bank vice president via her twitter handle strongly doubts that the Nigeria police is the least corrupt official in the country.

Read her reaction below:

This is not the first time Ezekwesili has had a disagreement with Nigerian authority.

Two weeks ago she had a run in with the Nigerian military over hate campaigns concerning the release of the kidnapped chibok girls.

Corruption in the Nigerian police force, has come a long way from uniformed officers extorting money at checkpoints to top officials embezzling public funds. These illegal activities of the police force has led to the beating and even death of innocent civilians.
