Amaechi Tipped For Buhari Campaign Manager Position

 Rivers state governor, Rotimi Amaechi might be named the director general of Muhammad Buhari’s presidential campaign if Buhari gets the presidential flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on December 8th.

Sources within the party revealed to Sahara Reporters in a recent interview about APC's strategy.

The source said: “The party decided to zone the VP position to the southwest in view of the zone’s crucial importance in the plan to win the 2015 elections convincingly”.

The source could not reveal who is to be the chosen Vice president but said that candidates are being screened.

Mr. Amaechi had been said to be the next in line for the  vice presidential post but agreed to drop his aspiration after he was convinced that a vice presidential candidate from the south-south may not excite southwest voters enough to enable the APC to win the region
