Nigerian professor Uju Anya and poet Lola Shoneyin recently inspired women on social media that there is nothing they cannot achieve.
Professor Uju took to her Twitter page to disclose that she would claim title of sole ownership on a house for the first time at the age of 44.

According to Uju, her mother was 54 years when a deed was issued in her name alone.
In her words:
"My mother was 54-years-old the first time a deed was issued in her name alone. I will claim title of sole ownership on a house for the first time at age 44.
"Both my mom and I owned previous houses with husbands, so our first time alone on a deed is special. Even though she's gone, I feel like I still walk in life holding her hand."
Reacting to the post, Shoneyin congratulated the professor and also disclosed that she bought her first house in 2008 when she was 34 years.
According to her, she used to dig out deeds just to read out her own name. She also said she has spent the last three months overseeing loft conversion in the house.
Social media users who were inspired flooded Professor Uju's post with congratulatory messages.

In a previous report by Legit.ng, Professor Uju took to social media to share her win after she was offered to join a university in the United States as an associate professor.
According to Uju, she will be joining the Modern Languages Department at Carnegie Mellon University as associate professor of second language acquisition in July 2021.
She wrote:
"I’ve been eager to share some very good news and now finally can. I accepted an offer to join the Modern Languages Department at Carnegie Mellon University as associate professor of second language acquisition starting July 2021. Kids and I will be moving to Pittsburgh in June."
