Chelsea will likely start with N’Golo Kante in the midfield as the Blues take on FC Porto in their Champions League quarter-final second-leg clash in Seville Spain.

It was gathered that German forward Timo Werner will, however, start the game from the bench.

But Kante has come off the bench back-to-back in their last two matches as he continues his recovery from hamstring tear.

The Frenchman has recuperated faster than expected after he was injured while on international recently.

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is still confused as regards when to start the player as they look to book their place in the semi-final of the prestigious competition.

And ahead of the second-leg, Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel said via Standard:

“I was unbelievably happy when he told me that he would travel with us last week to Sevilla because I didn’t expect that.
"So he arrived early, which was amazing, and he was confident to go on the pitch and he was strong to help us in the last 20 minutes with all his quality.
“The downside of this wonderful decision was that he lost a bit of sleep after that with travel issues back from Seville, that he lost more workload in training because he was sitting on the bench playing only 20 minutes.
"The next day he suffered from travelling because he could not train like he normally would.”
