Legit.ng reported that a homecoming that took place in Port Harcourt was organised for Burna Boy where he was welcomed by governor Wike and other dignitaries as a large crowd gathered to celebrate him.

During the homecoming event, the governor of the state announced that he was very proud and vowed that all the artistes who performed at the occasion would receive N10 million each. He also gifted Burna Boy money as well as a piece of land.

The news of these lavish gifts did not go down well with many Nigerians as they accused the governor of owing salaries and more.
