Manchester City manager Pep Guariola has expressed deep concern over the imminent departure of club legend Sergio Aguero who leaves at the end of the season.

The 32-year-old joined the Citizens from Atletico Madrid in a deal around €40 million in 2011 and he rose to become the club's highest goals scorer within a decade.

He scored a staggering 257 goals and 73 assists in 384 appearances across competitions for the Etihad Stadium outfit.

And the club announced on Monday night, March 29, that their Premier League hero’s career at the club would end this summer.

He will be leaving as one of the club’s all-time greats and the board has also assured that a statue of the player would be erected outside the stadium.

Guadiola has said the superstar will never be matched as soon as he leaves the club, adding that Aguero is irreplaceable. He said via Mirror:

“Sergio is irreplaceable. I could say in terms of numbers he could be replaceable but it’s not easy. When you see around 360 games and more than 250 goals, the amount of titles.
“He’s a legend, the best striker I ever had at this club… but he is irreplaceable".

Meanwhile, Premier League club Manchester United are set to launch bid for Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele in a move to bolster their squad ahead of the next season.
