A Nigerian-born medical doctor living in the United States, Professor Iyalla Elvis Peterside, has emerged best physician in the North American country for the year 2020.
The disclosure was made by the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), which celebrated the medical doctor on social media.
The professor was awarded by the US National Consumer Advisory Board and Todaysbestphysician.com.
NIDCOM wrote on Twitter:
"Nigerian-Born medical doctor, Professor Iyalla Elvis Peterside Emerges Best Physician In America.

Nigerians on social media also congratulated Professor Iyalla on his achievement.
"Congratulations Prof. Iyalla. We are proud of your achievements."
@RealMykel24, however, said the professor is no longer a Nigerian.

In a previous report by Legit.ng, a Nigerian lady identified as Nono Okeke took to social media to celebrate her achievement after winning the Spotlight Award in the Central Bank of Ireland where she works.

The young lady dedicated the award to the director-general of the World Trade Organisation, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, for motivating her to work hard.
