Buhari Never Promised To Make One Naira Equal One Dollar, Presidency says

In what will surprise many Nigerians, the presidency has absolved President Muhammadu Buhari over the country's economic problems.
This is according to Femi Adesina, special adviser to the president on media and publicity while appearing as a guest on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics.
Adesina who was reacting to claims suggesting that President Muhammadu Buhari promised to make one naira become equivalent to one dollar said there was no time the president pledged such.

Specifically, he said claims that Buhari made such a promise, are false.
He said;
“It does not exist, it is fake, it is false, it is apocryphal, it doesn’t”
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that President Idris Deby of Chad on Saturday, March 27 appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to extend the Port Harcourt-Maiduguri eastern corridor railway line to Chad to enhance trade between Nigeria and his country.
Addressing correspondents at the presidential villa, Abuja at end of his one-day visit when he had bilateral talks with Buhari, the Chadian leader said such rail and road transportation link with Nigeria would enable goods to be moved to his landlocked country.
Deby said he discussed a number of important issues with his host including the challenges facing Nigeria and Chad and how to strengthen bilateral relations.
In another report, Legit.ng reported that in what will bring about different reactions from Nigerians, Buhari has been asked to take fast action before things get really bad in the country.
The call was made by the spokesman of the Northern Elders Forum (NEF), Hakeem Baba-Ahmed.
According to him, President Muhammadu Buhari is too slow.
Meanwhile, Buhari has condemned the attack on the Benue state governor, Samuel Ortom.
Bashir Ahmaad, the personal assistant to the president on new media, disclosed in a tweet on Monday, March 22, that Buhari has called for an investigation into the incident.
