- A visually-challenged man has demonstrated that nothing can stand in the way of one that is determined
- The man whose identity is unknown was seen creating eye-catching flower vases with colourful beads
- He did this without being aided by anyone
A Nigerian man has shown that disability need not be an obstacle to achieve one's goal, making a living or finding happiness.
Instead of resorting to begging alms on the streets, a yet-to-be-identified man who is blind on both eyes has put his skill to use.
Photos of the blind man weaving beads into nice flower vases on the street were shared on Twitter by a user with the handle @ADawakee.
Using his hands to trace the beads and make good weavings, the blind man showed creative skills like one who didn't lose the use of his eyes.
The end-product of his weavings would make good household beautification items.
In the pictures, he didn't appear aided or assisted. It wasn't however stated as to how he lost his sight.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that photos of a one-legged man working with a digger had sparked huge reactions on social media.
The young man, whose identity is still unknown, was captured in pictures shared on Twitter with a digging tool, known as 'digger', in hand just as he supported the remains of his other leg with a waist-high stick.
He appeared to be digging a gutter under the hot sun by the side of a busy road.
Sharing the pictures, @Abdullahi_wolf advised his followers to "be thankful for what you have."
Nigerians hailed the young man's determination to survive and make ends meet instead of begging for alms and doing nothing. Others made prayers on his behalf and many drew inspiration from him.
