Governor Okowa congratulates Vice President Osinbajo at 64

- Many prominent Nigerians are still celebrating the country's vice president, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, as he turns 64 today

- Among those celebrating Osinbajo are governors who have worked with Osinbajo closely at the National Economic Council

- One of such governors is Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta state who described the vice president in glowing terms

Delta state governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, has congratulated Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, on his 64th birth anniversary.

In a statement by his spokesman, Olisa Ifeajika, Governor Okowa lauded Osinbajo for his astute contributions toward good governance in the country. 

He said that in spite of challenges, the vice president had continued to make quality contributions to the stability and growth of Nigeria's economy.

Meanwhile, as Nigerians celebrate Osinbajo on his 64th birthday, his spokesperson, Laolu Akande, has shared insights into his leadership qualities.

Akande said with the kind of relationship that exists between President Muhammadu Buhari and Osinbajo, the vice president has demonstrated that good leaders are first good followers.

In a related development, a group comprising friends and associates of VP Osinbajo under the aegis of “Friends of Prof,” has announced the commencement of the 2021 edition of its empowerment programme with an expansion in the scope of the programme.

The group disclosed this in a statement sent to Legit.ng on Saturday, March 6 as part of activities to mark the vice president's 64th birthday, while calling on young Nigerians to leverage the opportunity created by it.

It will be recalled that as part of events lined up for Osinbajo's 63rd birthday last year, 100 young entrepreneurs received grants of N1 million each to help grow and advance their businesses, among other incubator support services from the group.

Recall that few days to his birthday, the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, on Wednesday, March 3, conferred on VP Osinbajo, a special award of the ‘Defender of Faith’.

The award was conferred on VP Osinbajo at the 16th Biennial Delegate Conference of the PFN held at the Michael Okpara Square in Enugu state.
