Shehu Sani, a former Nigerian senator via Twitter on Wednesday, February 17, confirmed the attack on the school which is his alma mata, adding that some staff members of the institution were also abducted by armed men.

The incident happened days after the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Mohammed Adamu flagged-off a special security action plan, code-named Operation Puff Adder II to reinforce the ongoing fight against banditry, kidnapping, armed robbery, and other violent crimes in the country.
