Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi state on Wednesday, February 10, said that the fate of the southeast concerning the 2023 presidency is the decision of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The governor made the comment when he visited the APC secretariat in Abuja to meet with the caretaker committee chairman of the party and Yobe state governor, Mai Bala Buni.
Umahi stated this in response to the zoning of the presidency to the southeast ahead of the country's next presidential election which was also shared on the party's Twitter page.
According to the Ebonyi state governor, he has no personal opinion on which zone should take the party's presidential ticket.
He went on to note that any chieftain of the ruling party to agitate for his zone without recourse to the party organs would amount to indiscipline.
Meanwhile, Umahi declared that everyone in the southeast wants to join the ruling APC.
