- A religious leader, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, is confident that he will celebrate more birthdays
- The clergyman told his congregation when he expects to prepare for death
- Adeboye is one of the most respected Christian leaders in Nigeria
The General Overseer (GO) of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has predicted that he would live to 90 years before he dies.
The clergyman reportedly made the statement at a special service at the church’s headquarters along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, according to PM News.
Adeboye, who is currently 78-years-old, said if Jesus Christ does not return shortly, he will not die soon.
“I am not going to die young. Some people were laughing when they heard me say that don’t worry yourselves celebrating any birthday for me now. Wait till I am 90; then we will celebrate for a whole month.
“At the age of 90, after that celebration, then I can begin to get ready to go. But, that I am going to die soon, that’s a lie.”
In another report, Adeboye recently shared his thoughts concerning the type of materials people consume on social media.
Trailing the heels of the controversy surrounding the ongoing #Silhouettechallenge, the Christian leader warned that consuming photos and videos with unclad people will quench the Holy Spirit in people.
The new TikTok trend involves posing in a doorway before turning yourself into a sultry black silhouette against a red background.
Meanwhile, the general overseer of the Omega Fire Ministries International, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has reacted to a news report that he is being probed by the police over an alleged extramarital affair with a pastor’s wife.
The religious leader in a tweet on Monday, January 25, distanced himself from the allegations.
He said such allegations were not been brought to his notice in the past, pointing out that he was just reading about the allegations for the first time.
