Some music fans from the US have taken to social media to shut down Usher and Justin Timberlake's Verzuz battle.

Usher and Timberlake have both dropped classic albums in their careers and are both talented dancers but music lovers don't want the latter to take part on Verzuz.

Timbaland, who founded Verzuz with Swizz Beatz, recently shared that Drake hit him up and requested an Usher and Justin Timberlake (JT) battle next.

Drake said he wants to see the battle between the two R&B singers and dancers happen in the near future. A few fans had also hit the world renowned music producer requesting for the same battle.

According to Rap-Up, Timbaland said on ESPN2's Jalen & Jacoby:

"It’s so funny, Drake hit me up too about it, too."

In other entertainment news, Legit.ng reported that Keyshia Cole and Ashanti trended on social media following their epic Verzuz battle on Thursday night, January 21. The two singers belted out their new and old tunes during the battle.

Even though both the superstars arrived late for the show, their fans were impressed when the musicians finally performed.

Keyshia sang her hits such as I Changed My Mind, I Should Have Cheated and Enough of No Love, among others. Ashanti performed her hot tracks including Happy, The Way I Love You and Don't Leave Me Alone.

Both the musicians also gave their fans a taste of their new music. The artistes' impressed fans flooded social media during and after the show to share their thoughts on their battle. Twitter was divided over who won the hotly contested Verzuz battle.
