A Nigerian man called Odje David Ovietobor-Odje has shared his love story with Legit.ng.
David said his relationship with the love of his life Thomany Juliette started like a joke.
According to him, Juliette who is a Haitian American slid into his DM in early 2019. David stated that they started as platonic friends until October 21, 2019, when they decided to go romantic.
After one year of dating through video calls and texts, the lovebirds notified their families of their relationship and they decided to take it to the next level.

"My love story with the lady in those pictures began almost like a joke. Thomany Juliette Simon(a Haitian American who currently resides in Florida, U.S.A) who attended the same Seven Days Adventist school ( Oakwood University College, Huntsville, Alabama) with David Adeleke and his sister around 2010 slid into my D.M with a "Hi" early 2019.
"We started as platonic friends until October 21st, 2019 when we decided to go romantic. After one year of dating on video calls and texts, we notified our families of our seriousness.
"In October October 2020, we arranged to meet in Accra Ghana to see each other physically for the first time. I couldn't help but to propose to the love of my life on my birthday ( 28th October and a few days into our meeting and she said the " BIG YES". It's my wish to give my wife to be who has never visited Nigeria but loves Nigerian Afrobeats and Davido, in particular, a memorable visit and wedding here in Nigeria."
