Celebrating anniversaries serve as a reminder of how strong and how far a couple has come in a relationship of marriage.
A young man did exactly this when he headed to Facebook's ImStaying to celebrate his eight-year-long marriage.
Danwin Booysen also included a picture of himself and his beautiful wife, adding that the two of them had only spent N23k (R900) on the wedding, which is incredibly low compared to the usual amounts people blow on weddings.
Danwin in the caption of the Facebook post wrote:
"#ImStaying. This year we celebrated 8 years in union, our wedding cost R900. Nothing fancy, today we still grow stronger together. Love of my life."
Stayers had this to say:
Samuel Albert Tom:
"That's great. Happy anniversary. Ours was R300 and its 43 years ago."
"It's not all about expensive things or materials, it's about love and communication, love, trust, faith, hope, honesty, not cheating on one another."
"Happy anniversary. May there be MANY more."
Maseko Mpumi Wa Calvin:
"Happy Anniversary to you both.
"Happy anniversary to both of you."
