Mourinho who is the gaffer of Premier League side Tottenham has claimed that his wards were supposed to win their encounter against Liverpool at Anfield on Wednesday night, December 16.

Tottenham who were on top of the Premier League table before the duel lost against Liverpool with Brazilian striker Roberto Firmino netting the winner for the Premier League champions.

The victory sent Jurgen Klopp and his wards to the top of the League table and they have now established a three-point gap between them and second-placed Spurs.

According to the report on UK Sun, Jose Mourinho explained that he told Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp that his players deserved to win the Premier League tie.

"I told him the best team lost. He disagreed, but that's his opinion.
"By the way, if I behave on the touchline the same way he does, I have no way to stay there and I'm out one minute after.
"That's animated or do you want me to take the table with the time from the fourth official's hands to see what happens to me. For some reason I am different and that's sad."

Tottenham will be facing Leicester City in their next Premier League game and Jose Mourinho and his men will want to seek redemption in the tie.
