Buhari appoints Imman Sulaiman-Ibrahim as new DG of NAPTIP

- Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim has been appointed as the new director-general of NAPTIP

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim as the new director-general of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP).

The appointment was announced in a statement issued by presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu and seen by Legit.ng on Tuesday, December 1.

A holder of BSc (Sociology), Masters of Arts (Management), and Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degrees, Mrs Sulaiman-Ibrahim, hails from Nasarawa state.

Until her new appointment, she was a member of the Nasarawa state economic advisory council as well as the special adviser on strategic communication to the minister of state for education.

Meanwhile, Adekoya Owosibo has been appointed as the new provost and chief executive officer of the Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology (FCAHPT), Moor Plantation, Ibadan, Oyo state.

Owosibo's appointment was approved by President Buhari through the Sabo Nanono-led ministry of agriculture and rural development.

In a related development, the president approved the appointment of Chief Executive Officers for nine of the agencies under the federal ministry of information and culture.

The approval letter for the appointments was conveyed to the minister of information and culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, by Professor Ibrahim Gambari, chief of staff to the president.
