Reekado Banks says he felt disrespected over Wizkid's comment on social media

- Reekado Banks has said the insults Wizkid hurled at him made him realise that he was not respected as much as he thought he was

Award-winning Nigerian artist Reekado Banks has disclosed how he felt after his colleague Wizkid hurled insults at him on social media amid the EndSARS protest some weeks ago.

Recall that Reekado Banks took to Twitter on October 15 to announce the release of his new song which Wizkid featured on.

In reaction to the tweet, Wizkid referred to Reekado Banks as a fool and also asked him to delete the tweet. Reekado Banks, however, did not respond to him.

In an interview with HOT 93.3 FM in Lagos, Reekaado Banks said he felt disrespected over Wizkid’s comment.

The music star said the encounter made him understand that he was not respected as much as he thought he was.

In his words:

“It made me understand that I wasn’t respected as much as I thought som (sic) it’s like I dey my lane then.”

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that Burna Boy got Nigerians buzzing on social media over his exchange with fellow musician Reekado Banks.

Burna hosted a question and answer session on his Twitter page and a fan asked which music star he would be willing to have a hit battle with.

The On The Low crooner replied that he was willing to go toe to toe with any worthy challenger and it could be lyrically, musically or however they wanted it.

Obviously seeing it as an opportunity to also show off his talent, Reekado Banks said he was ready to challenge Burna musically.
