Ousmane Dembele: Barcelona reportedly set to sell Frenchman and 4 others in January

Spanish giants Barcelona are reported set to sell France international Ousmane Dembele and four other big players in the January 2021 transfer window so as to generate fund.

Martin Braithwaite, Carles Alena, Junior Firpo and Samuel Umtiti are the other players who are said to have been placed on transfer market by Barcelona according to the report on UK Sun.

The report added that the Catalans want to offload so that they can be able to get manager Ronald Koeman money to sign some fresh players next year.

Eric Garcia and Mephis Depay are reported to be the two players topping the request list of Barcleona coach Koeman.

The Dutchman replaced Setien at Barcelona before the start of the ongoing Spanish La Liga season and has been trying to rebuild the Catalans ever since then.

This latest development will be a great one for Manchester United who have been trying to sign Ousmane Dembele from Barcelona for the past two seasons.

United gaffer Ole Solskjaer wanted to sign the World Cup winner during the transfer window, but Dembele was interested in a move to Juventus.

Since joining Barcelona from Dortmund three years ago, Dembele has played 55 games for the Catalans scoring 12 goals so far.

He has also won two Spanish La Liga titles with Barcelona and also the Copa del Rey.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Lionel Messi may not accept a wage cut according to terms in his contract with Barcelona.

The club will need to avoid going bankrupt and have an income surplus of €300million before the end of 2020.
