Ashley Young is the latest footballer to test positive for coronavirus as Inter Milan confirmed the Englishman is self isolating.

According to a statement by Inter Milan on Sunday, October 11, the former Man United star tested positive for coronavirus after taking the test.

Inter Milan said: "FC Internazionale Milano has disclosed that Ashley Young has contracted Covid-19 after taking a test yesterday at Appiano Gentile.

"The English football player is now isolating at home."

This comes as a big blow to Inter Milan who take on AC in the first Milan derby of the season next week.

He gave an insight into what life was life in Milan during that time and offered lockdown advice with a lengthy Twitter thread.

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that reigning Premier League champions Liverpool have been hit with another blow after their winger Xherdan Shaqiri was confirmed to have contracted the deadly Coronavirus.

The 28-year-old Swiss footballer is now the third Liverpool player tested positive for the virus in the space of one week.
