- DJ Cuppy has revealed that she travelled to her hometown in Epe, to record her some animal sounds for her debut album

- The entertainer also expressed her excitement at finally being able to achieve her dreams of putting out an album

As fans of Florence Otedela continue to marvel at the success of her recently released album, Original Copy, the entertainer has shared interesting new details about it.

In a statement to The Cable Lifestyle, she revealed that the album took her back to her roots in Epe, where she mingled with the locals for inspiration and recorded animal sounds samples.

"If you listen carefully, you can hear this in each track," she said. The 27-year-old entertainer expressed her excitement at finally releasing the album, describing it as a dream come true.

Cuppy who is the daughter of Femi Otedola, billionaire businessman, expressed excitement at finally dropping her album which she described as a dream come true.

“I am so proud that the album is now out. For me, it’s not about numbers and statistics and charts. It’s about the fact that I was able to focus and actually achieve my dream of having an album,” she added.

"So honestly, I’m already happy regardless of what happens. Nonetheless, I encourage everyone to join this journey and I hope they enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed making this album.”

The project tracklist includes ‘Epe’, ‘Jollof On The Jet’, ‘Wale’, ‘Feel Good’, ‘Cold Heart Killer’, ‘Original Copy (Interlude)’, ‘Karma’, ‘Litty Lit’, ’54’, ‘Guilty Pleasure’, ‘P.O.Y’ and ‘Labalaba’.

The 12-track album features several music stars including Stonebwoy, Teni, Shina Peters, Seyi Shay, Ycee, Nonso Amadi, Rayvanny, Rema, Wyclef Jean, Efya, Fireboy, Shina Peters, Ms Banks, Nonso Amadi and Darkoo.

Among those who have appreciated the amount of work put into the project and shown support to the DJ is her very own younger sister, Temi Otedola.

Temi recently took to her page on Instagram and called on her followers to go and stream her sister’s debut album. The fashion blogger was also spotted dancing to one of the songs on the album that features music icon, Wyclef Jean.
