Amidst the ongoing coronavirus pandemic in the world, one of music’s greatest shows, the BET Awards, went down on Sunday, June 28, in a virtual ceremony that had millions of viewers tune in.
The 2020 show was hosted by comedian and actress Amanda Seales. There were also interesting performances from music superstars like Alicia Keys, Jennifer Hudson, John Legend, Usher, Summer Walker, Lil Wayne among others.
Canadian rapper Drake who had as much as six nominations only managed to emerge as winner of one of his nominated categories.
Meghan Thee Stallion went home with two trophies while Beyonce’s daughter Blue Ivy Carter won her first BET Award.
Interestingly, Nigeria’s Burna Boy also emerged as Best International Act, making him the first artist to bag the award twice in a row.
