Pastor Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) on Sunday, April 12, assured Nigerians that the coronavirus pandemic will be history in the country in no time.
Speaking on a live broadcast at the Easter service, Pastor Adeboye told all Christian faithful that the latest good news is that God Almighty is in control of the situation, The Nation reports.
Furthermore, the famous cleric prophesied that the disease will be over soon. He said: “I want to bring good news to someone. I want to tell you that my God is not dead, he is alive.
“Not only is alive, but he is also in control. If you have any doubt at all the situation in the recent past should show you clearly that he is in control.''
The pastor called on the government and people of Nigeria not to relax in the fight against the disease even while victory is in sight.

He insisted that the global pandemic will come to an end when the whole world finally realises that God is in charge.
He added: “Until the whole world has had a compulsory holiday. I hope you are enjoying your holiday?
Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that as the world continues to combat the dreaded COVID-19 also known as coronavirus, Nigerian religious leaders are speaking out about the issue and interpreting what it means from a religious point of view.
Adeboye in an online service has stated that God was behind the coronavirus which has claimed thousands of lives and counting.
Adeboye claimed God told him that the world would be going on compulsory holiday over the outbreak of the virus. He further stated God is using the plague to show the world he is in control. He also stated that the virus will not go away but will only be subdued.
