Tiamiyu Kazeem: Governor Abiodun visits family of the late footballer

Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun state has paid a condolence visit to the family of late Remo Stars player Tiamiyu Kazeem who lost his life in the hands of the SARS operative.

While speaking with all the family members of the late footballer, Governor Dapo Abiodun reiterated his promise to make sure that those involved in the untimely death of Tiamiyu get proper prosecution.

He also promised that the Ogun state Government will do all their best to make sure that the family of Tiamiyu is not abandoned after his demise.

''I know how you feel and there is nothing anyone can say that can bring the life of Tiamiyu back to you, but I want to assure you that justice will be done.

''It is so unfortunate that such tragic incident occurred to your family and we will try all our possible best that such will never happen again to anyone in Ogun state.

''We sympathize with you today because it is not easy to lose a promising child and we want to pray to God that he should give you the fortitude to bear the loss.

''I also want to promise you that all those involved in this barbaric act will face the consequence of the law,'' Governor Dapo Abiodun explained while talking to the family of late Tiamiyu.

On Saturday, February 22, Tiamiyu Kazeem went out with one of his teammates at Remo Stars in Shagamu before been confronted by members of the Anti Robbery Squad (SARS).

The SARS officers ordered them to follow their vehicle to the station for more questioning, and it was on their way that an officer pushed Tiamiyu down in annoyance.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Ogun state Governor Dapo Abiodun made it clear that the culprits behind the shocking and untimely death of former Remo Stars footballer Tiamiyu Kazeem will be brought to book.

The number one citizen in Ogun state also confirmed on his official social media account that the perpetrator behind the death of the footballer has been arrested in which justice must be done.
