Buhari to Danjuma: Your vote of no confidence remarks are not important

President Muhammadu Buhari has reacted to the recent vote of no confidence remarks made by retired Nigeria Army General Theophilus Danjuma.

Speaking on Saturday, January 25, President Buhari said that the opinion of Danjuma means absolutely nothing to him, The Cable reports.

The president said that what is important to him is the collected thoughts and views of the millions of Nigerians who voted him into office in 2015 and in 2019.

He said that the fact that the majority of the Nigerian electorate chose him again in the last presidential election is his greatest vindication.

The Nigerian leader said that the former NA chief is one of the critics in the country who will stop at nothing to discredit and demarket him.

However, the president said that rather than being worried over destructive criticisms, he is actually glad that they are coming.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that President Buhari had authorized the deployment of air power against bandits attacking Niger state in the last few weeks.

A statement by presidential spokesman Garba Shehu revealed that the president has received assurances that with the harmattan dust gradually easing, fighter aircraft would soon join the efforts to provide effective air attacks against the bandits.

The bandits' had in the past few weeks, had a field day attacking remote communities around Dogon Gona forest in Niger state.

The document was presented by Mohammad Babagana, the national security adviser, during the launch.

At the event, President Buhari said that the launch will bring about a safer and more secure atmosphere for Nigerians.
