Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso is a self-centred politician, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has declared.
According to the Kano state governor, Kwankwaso is a political ingrate with a terrible 2023 ambition.
The Nation reports that Ganduje disclosed this when he welcomed Dr. Rabi’u Suleiman Bichi into the All Progressives Congress.
Bichi who decamped from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) came with his thousands of followers.
Going further, Ganduje claimed that he was the one that taught Kwankwaso how to play politics.
He also went on to reveal how he ended up as the running mate to Kwankwaso in 1999.
Ganduje also claimed he won the PDP primaries in 1999 but he was later pacified to be Kwankwaso's running mate.
Meanwhile, while reacting to the claim by Ganduje, Abubakar Sadiq Mahmud, a social media user said Kwankwaso initiated policies in Kano state.
"While acknowledging the fact that Kwankwaso is not immune from being self-centred just like any other human and above all politician, I am yet to see the governor that surpassed him in the area of initiating policies and programmes that positively transform the lives of the majority of the teaming populace of the state from 1999 to date," he said.
Recall that Legit.ng had reported that the PDP lost in two-folds in very short period of time recently.
First, the PDP lost its bid to upturn the victory of Governor Ganduje of the All Progressives Congress (APC) when on Tuesday, January 21, the Supreme Court in Abuja upheld his election.
Then, the chairman of the PDP in the state, Rabiu Sulaiman Bichi, a former secretary to the government, defected to the APC.

In fact, it has been reported that Bichi left the PDP with a number of Kwankwaso supporters who are said to be loyal to him.
