Nigerian-Canadian singer Victoria Falana has set herself apart after delivering a brilliant performance at the 2019 Global Citizen Prize awards, which held at the Royal Albert Hall, in London on December 13.
It was gathered that Falana thrilled the audience who rendered a standing ovation to the young singer. Falana who is an Afrobeat/Alternative-soul singer performed a cover of British sensation Lewis Capaldi and Sia, as well as new songs from her forthcoming debut album.
The likes of Jennifer Hudson, John Legend, Raphael Saadiq, Sting, Stormzy, and Chris Martin were also present to perform on the same stage.
The event, by London-International advocacy organisation, Global Citizen, is to award individuals making efforts to eradicate extreme poverty in the world and Nigerian Amina J Mohammed bagged the prize of Global Citizen world leader.
Meanwhile, American rapper, Kanye West, remixed Davido's popular song, If, in a choir rendition.
In a video posted by Davido on his Instagram page on Monday, December 16, Kanye swapped the chorus of the If song with We Love You as the instrumentalist strummed the beats that remind of the over-96-million-viewed song.
The We Love You chorus could be seen as a rehash of If's "If I tell you say I love you o baby. My body, my money na your own o, baby."
